Notebooks is built on one core principle: your data stays on your device. No personal information is collected, stored, or transmitted to any external server by the developer.
All app data — including notes, notebooks, settings, and preferences — is stored locally on your device using standard platform storage (SharedPreferences and local file storage). This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export content.
Some features may request device permissions:

| Storage / Files | Read and write backup files or export content at your explicit request. |
You can revoke any permission at any time in your device's Settings. Revoking a permission disables the associated feature but does not affect your stored data.

This app does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Because no data is collected at all, this app is safe for use in educational settings for all ages.
